An aligned constraint controls the distance between two points on an object, one point and one object, or two line segments.

While analigned dimension represents the distance between two points, an aligned constraint parameter defines and controls the distance between two points.

In the example below, two points on the polygon on the left have an aligned constraint parameter applied. When that polygon is manipulated, the result is the polygon on the right. The constrained points will remain at the same distance, and the other points will move to keep that distance.
