Impact on the System

When this alarm occurs, the corresponding PBU cannot work normally.

System Actions

None.

Possible Causes

  • The PBU is not in position, or is manually reset or powered down.
  • he TDU is damaged.
  • The PBU is damaged.
  • The TMU is damaged.

Procedure

  1. Check the PBU
    1. Check whether the PBU has been installed

      Y=> Go to Step b.

      N=> Install the PBU. The alarm handling ends.

    2. Check whether the PBU has been manually reset or powered down.

      Y=> No manual handling is required since the alarm is an normal response. The alarm handing ends.

      N=> Go to Step 2.

  2. Check whether the TDU is faulty

    Check whether there are such correlated alarms as ALM-4154 TRX main clock alarm, ALM-4124 TRX Hardware Prompt Alarm, ALM-4106 TRX Software Running Abnormal Alarm, ALM-4192 TRX communication alarm, ALM-9682 PBU Main Clock Alarm and ALM-9684 PBU Slave Clock Alarmon the alarm management system. Replace the TDU if any. View whether the original alarm is cleared.

    Y=> The alarm handling ends.

    N=> Go to Step 3.

  3. Replace the PBU

    Replace the PBU and check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y=> The alarm handling ends.

    N=> Go to Step 4.

  4. Replace the TMU

    Replace the TMU and check whether the alarm is cleared.

    Y=> The alarm handling ends.

    N=> Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
