Description

The alarm is reported when the handshake between Carrier Module and TMU at the CBUS2 link layer fails.

Impact on the System

All the services of the DTRU will be interrupted upon occurrence of this alarm.

System Actions

When this alarm occurs, the system shuts off the power amplifier automatically. For the DTRU of main BCCH, DTRU mutual aid is started.

Possible Causes

  • The DTRU is uninstalled, manually reset or powered down.
  • The DTRU is damaged.
  • The main control module is damaged.
  • The signal conversion card is damaged.

Procedure

  1. Check the DTRU
    1. Check if the DTRU is installed.

      Y=> Go to Step 2.

      N=> Install the DTRU. Alarm handling is completed.

    2. Check whether the DTRU has been manually reset or powered down.

      Y=> No manual handling is required. The alarm handing is completed.

      N=> Go to Step 2.

  2. Check if the signal conversion card is damaged.

    If the signal conversion card is damaged, there will be correlated alarms as 4154 TRX main clock alarm, 4124 TRX Hardware Prompt Alarm, 4106 TRX Software Running Abnormal Alarm and 4192 TRX communication alarm. Replace the faulty card and check if the alarm is cleared.

    Y=> The alarm is cleared. Alarm Handling is completed.

    N=> The alarm is not cleared. Go to Step 3.

  3. Replace the faulty DTRU.

    Replace the faulty DTRU. Check if the alarm is cleared.

    Y=> The alarm is cleared. Alarm Handling is completed.

    N=> The alarm is not cleared. Go to Step 4.

  4. Replace the main controlling module.

    Replace the main controlling module and see if the alarm is cleared.

    Y=>The alarm is cleared. Alarm Handling is completed.

    N=>The alarm is not cleared. Please contact Huawei Customer Service Center.
