The Split tool divides one clip into two clips.

• You can move and edit each clip separately.
• Split clips to insert transitions, title slides, or graphics between scenes.

1. Position the playhead on the timeline where the split will occur. Only the media under the playhead will be split.
2. Click to select each media to be split. When a media is selected, it turns blue. To select multiple pieces of media, press and hold the CTRL key on the keyboard then click each media to be split.

3. Click Split or, press S on the keyboard. The clip splits into two separate clips.
